EDI Fusion

EDI Fusion is fully integrated functionality into Microsoft Dynamics NAV. It provides an efficient means of exchanging standard EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) business documents between you and your customers or suppliers.

It provides:

Automation of Business Documents

Electronic Data Interchange gives you the ability to fully automate the import/export of Purchase Orders, POAs, ASNs, eInvoices and RCTIs. The EDI Controller shows you the status of each import/export and, if an error occurs, staff can be notified via email. You can also configure the time interval for sending and receiving documents; for example, you may choose to do this twice a day or every thirty seconds.

Unlimited Trading Partners

NAV allows you to set up as many Trading Partners as you want. For each Trading Partner you can enable scan packing of inventory for orders or even specify the need for SSCC labels to be printed.

EDI can be configured to enable scan packing of Inventory Picks and Sales Orders. After you’ve scanned a particular item, NAV will take care of the rest by adjusting stock levels, Printing SSCC labels and sending the necessary documents to your customers and suppliers via EDI.

SSCC Labels

All barcode fonts used within NAV are GS1 compliant. So whenever a SSCC label is required, you  know it will pass accreditation with your customers and suppliers. Electronic Data Interchange  allows you to specify the number of labels you would like printed out for each item, as well as  giving you the option to reprint labels at any time.

Scan Packing

EDI can be configured to enable scan packing of Inventory Picks and Sales Orders. After you have  scanned a particular item, NAV will take care of the rest by adjusting stock levels, printing SSCC labels  and sending the necessary documents to your customers and suppliers via Electronic Data Interchange.

You can choose between NAV’s PC-based functionality or opt for the ADCS component, which gives  you more versatile control of packing via screen-based barcode scanners.

Barcode scanners such as the Denso BHT600 have a colour screen and backlit keypad, and  communicate via WiFi to NAV’s Application Server, which means data is sent and received in real-time.

The EDI add-on requires General Ledger, Sales & Receivables, Sales Invoicing and Item Cross Reference. It is compatible with both AM & BE versions of NAV.
