"For custom software development, I believe the ideal
team size is four and the ideal project duration is six to
eighteen months. My intuition is that larger projects
require more productive software engineers, not more
of them."

Fenwick Software was founded in 1976 by its current Managing Principal, Peter Fenwick.

Fenwick Software in the 1980's - software development

During the 1980's, Fenwick Software developed major custom systems for NCR, CUB, Comalco, Alcoa, Griffith Hack and Longman, on HP3000, DEC VAX and Pick Systems. During this period we developed an innovative approach to both software development and increased efficiency through working in small elite teams - Fenwick Software won awards for the productivity in software development.

Fenwick Software in the 1990's - software solutions

During the 1990's, we began working with packaged software solutions — in particular On-line 2000 and MANAGE 2000. Through this work, our staff acquired a deep understanding of manufacturing and distribution systems. In 1998, we began working with Navision – a genuinely superior product built in Copenhagen – and we have been using it ever since.

Today, Fenwick Software provides both:

•  package solutions to meet generic requirements – tailored to suit
special needs if necessary - see our solutions
•  customised software development - see our services
