Case Study: Open Door Pub Company
Centralised financial management helps maximise efficiency
About Open Door Pub Company
ODPC is primarily composed of boutique and heritage hotels in Melbourne, including a number of iconic properties such as the Geebung Polo Club, College Lawn Hotel and Provincial Hotel. Its ongoing expansion has included the opening of two outlets at the redeveloped Sydney domestic airport and a further two in the redeveloped Sydney international terminal in 2010.
The business challenge
ODPC is a business which is highly distributed, with 20 discrete hospitality outlets managed by professionals who have excellent hospitality and customer service capabilities but often more limited financial management skills. The company’s financial operations therefore need to be centrally managed to ensure appropriate financial disciplines are in place and to maximise efficiencies.
Fenwick Software’s Solution
Fenwick worked closely with ODPC to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV, providing centralised financial management, integration with existing systems and ease of data migration.
• Ease of implementation • Cost savings through more efficient centralised processing and lower annual license fees • Reliable and accurate reporting • Audit trail of every transaction • Strong local support and knowledge of their business

"They understood our business more than other potential suppliers. I had a lot of faith in them, particularly Tyrone Roberts who put the software in. We spent a lot of time quizzing him, and it was very much a relationship decision. We thought he truly understood what we were after, particularly the functions we wanted."
